Sunglasses belong in the sun, and for this Quay fashion shoot Mr. Location Scout leaned all the way in, scouting a range of California desert film locations where hard light, open sky, and sculptural terrain gave the eyewear its bold, sun-soaked stage. Desert shoots reward a scout who knows which stretches of sand, rock, and Joshua Trees are striking and genuinely shootable, and we lined up these photogenic filming locations so the crew could work the light across several standout settings in a single production.
