SZA and Tazo's Tree Corps in Los Angeles
For this social-cause video featuring SZA and sponsored by Tazo Tea's Tree Corps, Mr. Location Scout wore three hats, Location Scout, Location Manager, and On-Set Producer to bring the downtown Los Angeles shoot together. With the shoot taking place during the pandemic, the entire video was being directed remotely from New York. So Mr. Location Scout stepped up to take the role as on-set producer as well as Covid Compliance Officer to make sure talent and crew remained safe and production kept on schedule. A purpose-driven piece with a high-profile artist also calls for locations that feel authentic to the community message and a production that runs smoothly around it, and we sourced the downtown L.A. settings from scout through wrap to make it all come together.
